  • Wednesday, July 02, 2014
  • 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • METRO Training Center, 57 East 11th Street, 4th Floor New York, NY 10003

This event will feature brief presentations and then a panel and audience discussion, providing information on the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), the Empire State Digital Network (ESDN), the experience of NYPL as a DPLA content provider, and a look at the data-related and other details behind NYPL's recently rebuilt archives portal. The event will provide an overview of these initiatives and information about how hubs, portals, aggregation, and data normalization can play a role in increasing access to unique archives and special collections materials.

Who should attend:
Archivists, librarians, and collection managers, as well as anyone else interested in the DPLA, are welcome to attend.

This event was made possible with funds from the Documentary Heritage Program of the New York State Archives, a program of the New York State Education Department.
