Archives Week 2017 -- Franklin Furnace Archive Open House

Open house and guided tour of some of the highlights of the archives of Franklin Furnace as well as a formal presentation of a recent project supported by The Pine Tree Foundation of New York to create protective enclosures for the institution’s eclectic collection of artists’ books. Franklin Furnace is a not-for-profit arts organization in residence on the Brooklyn campus of Pratt Institute with physical and digital holdings of artists’ books, performance art, installation art, and related materials. Attendance is limited to 20 people.

Directions to Franklin Furnace: Enter Pratt’s campus at the corner gate at Hall Street and Dekalb Avenue, walk straight along the path towards the canon. Turn left after the canon and walk north past the Library (with the Library directly on your left) straight to the ISC Building. Once you get to the ISC Building, enter through the double doors at the end of the walkway and either use the stairs straight ahead or the elevator to the left to get to the 2nd floor. Franklin Furnace is located at Rooms 209-211.
