DLIS Spring Symposium
Queens, Bent 277 A&B

Join faculty, current students, alumni and other professionals in DLIS’s free educational event: the symposium. This educational conference is designed to facilitate the spread of ideas, to discuss relevant research and present networking opportunities to everyone in attendance. The semi-annual symposium includes topics and presentations on current issues and trends in library and information science. The symposium has prominent keynote speakers and presentations by students, alumni, and faculty. Past keynote speakers include Lee Rainie of the Pew Research Center, ALA President Barbara Stripling, and NYPL Andrew W. Mellon Director Ann Thornton.
A continental breakfast and lunch are provided. All current students are expected to attend the either in-person or online. Online Learning students will receive a separate email with directions to connect to the meeting via WebEx. Alumni and prospective students are also highly encouraged to attend.
