Please join A.R.T. for the Annual Business Meeting, elections, and a presentation from the NYC Municipal Archives.
The New York City Municipal Archives (NYCMA) and the Stadsarchief Amsterdam launched New Amsterdam Stories- a site that facilitates story-telling to explore the shared cultural history that exists between two of the world’s leading cities. Now in its second year, and guided by scholars from the New Netherland Institute (Albany, NY), the project makes available online original 17th century documents from both archives. The program will explore the international cooperation that made this project possible and discuss the how these archival materials provide a platform for sharing our cultural heritage.
