Archives Week 2017 -- For Posterity: Louis Armstrong’s Reel-to-Reel Tapes
Join Ricky Riccardi, Armstrong scholar and Director of Research Collections at the Louis Armstrong House Museum, as he presents a lecture revealing the man behind the legend of Louis Armstrong through Armstrong’s personal reel-to-reel tape collection, recordings, and rare footage. After the lecture, Riccardi will guide the group on a tour through LAHM’s stacks showcasing unique items from the collection, including Armstrong’s trumpets. Space is limited to 20 people.
