Part presentation, part hands-on workshop to explore the benefits of linked open data for archival collections at NYU through Wikipedia and Wikidata. We will talk about how these sources of open, structured data can complement our existing library systems, and do some hands-on editing to build familiarity with the database. We recommend bringing a laptop and creating a Wiki account in advance, but will also have laptops available and devote the first few minutes to account creation.
