The Archives and Special Collections at the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library originated with the formation of the Insurance Society of New York in 1901.The library has since collected historical documents, artifacts, manuscripts, and rare books on insurance; providing a world renowned research destination forscholars of the history of insurance, as well as many other areas within the humanities. Visitors should bring some form of picture ID to enter the building.
