In this webinar, Yvonne Ng, Senior Program Manager, Archives, will discuss her work at WITNESS supporting human rights defenders to archive their video collections. She will share examples of projects, as well as some challenges and lessons learned along the way. 

This is a free, virtual webinar hosted via Zoom. Advance registration is required. Upon registering for the webinar, you will receive a confirmation via email with a link to join the webinar. The webinar will be video-recorded.

ABOUT

WITNESS is a human rights non-profit organization based out of Brooklyn, New York. Its mission is to partner with on-the-ground organizations to support the documentation of human rights violations and their consequences, further public engagement, advocate for policy change, and seek justice.


Yvonne Ng

Yvonne Ng (she/her) is an audiovisual archivist with 15 years of experience working at the intersection of human rights, video and technology, and archives. As Senior Program Manager of Archives at WITNESS, she collaborates with regional teams to support partners to preserve human rights video, and develops accessible guidance and training materials related to archiving and preservation. Yvonne holds an M.A in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from NYU.
