Please join us for a tour of the Gottesman Research Library at the American Museum of Natural History. The tour will feature the public reading room and exhibit space in the Gilder Center, recently opened in 2023, along with highlights from AMNH's archives and rare book and folio collections.


Meeting Location: Gilder Center entrance on Columbus Avenue.


This is an in-person event limited to 15 ART Members. Registration is non-transferable. Please note that you MUST reserve a ticket in advance online in order to attend this event. In the occasion that the event is sold out, we highly recommend joining the waitlist. An ART staff member will reach out to you if a spot becomes available. Unless you've been given permission, please do not show up at the event without registering.


ABOUT

The Gottesman Research Library serves and supports the work of the Museum's scientific staff, along with the public and scholars in natural history from around the world. The Library’s Rare Book and Folio collection includes almost 15,000 volumes of both published and unpublished works relevant to natural history, especially in those fields of interest at AMNH. The Museum Archives preserves the histories and collective memory of the American Museum of Natural History through materials on scientific expeditions, research, exhibitions, education, administration, and cultural life.
