An Inside Look at the Brooklyn Visual Heritage Project

Please join ART for a special showcase of the recently launched Brooklyn Visual Heritage website, presented by members of the Brooklyn Visual Heritage team!


Created through the three-year Project CHART (Cultural Heritage, Access, Research, and Technology), funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Brooklyn Visual Heritage is a collaborative digitization initiative undertaken by Pratt Institute's School of Information and Library Science in partnership with the Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn Museum, and Brooklyn Public Library.  Focusing on the digitization of historic images of Brooklyn, the project has offered Pratt SILS students exceptional educational opportunities to master key aspects of digital imaging, including scanning, creation of metadata, outreach, and digital curation.

Online Registration Required. Please register by midnight on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.  There are no refunds – your registration dollars help support ART work and programs.
